Sfera Tulsi - 聖羅勒

I've been dropping a few leaves into hot water whenever I feel a cold coming on, and the taste is surprisingly mild compared to the bitter tulsi I've tried before. The leaves actually look fresh and green, not the dusty dried stuff I used to get.

My mom swears by tulsi for fighting off colds, so I ordered this to keep on hand. The dried leaves have a strong, earthy aroma that reminds me of the fresh plant from her garden, and it brews into a soothing tea that I actually look forward to drinking.

I've been adding a pinch of these dried leaves to my evening tea and they steep nicely without turning bitter, even after sitting for a few minutes. The earthy aroma reminds me of the home remedies my grandmother used to brew for us during cold season.
